They usually settle on new stems and the underside of young leaves, they suck the sap of leaves and plants leaving a sticky substance behind which attracts various other pesky insects to the farm.

If left untreated it will surely reduce the yield of your plant and at the end kill the plant. The good thing is that aphids are easy to evict from your farm.
